Swim Meet

There is a swim team practice on Tuesday Jan. 19 and Tues. Jan. 26.

Conestoga College

Attention grade 9-12 girls.  Conestoga College is hosting a trades and technology day for young women on March 1.  This is a free trip to girls in grade 9-12 to let them explore welding, carpentry, architecture, electrical energy and motive power.  Come to the guidance office to get your permission forms.  Permission forms are due to Mr. Wayne Smith by Feb 4.

Swim Team Championship

The Swim team participated in the Huron-Perth Championship on Thursday. Even through we didn’t bring a banner back to Madill, most of our swimmers were able to achieve a personal best time. Everyone should be very proud of their performance throughout the season. A special thank you goes to the Grade 7/8 swimmers for helping with the timing at the meet – your willingness to volunteer your time was appreciated by all of the coaches.

Congratulations to the following swimmers who are moving on to WOSSAA in February:
Josiah Moores moving on for his 50m free, 50m breast stoke, and 100m Individual Medley
Cameron Gauthier for his 100m free
and Nicole Hardy, Carmen Hamilton, and Nicole Sanburn for their 100m breast stroke
