Drive Right Driving School

Drive Right Driving School will he hosting another 5 day course beginning on Tuesday, April 17. The course will be held here, at F.E.Madill. The dates of the course are April 17, 19, 24, 26 & May 1st from 3:30 to 7:30 p.m. Register online at www.driverightschool.ca or registration forms are available at the school office.

Do you love to read

Do you love to read? Mrs. Wick and Mrs. Guay want you to create a book review for your favourite book. It could be a video, audio recording, poster or in another format. Your review will be used to help us to recommend books to others. Come into the Library Learning Commons for more details. When you submit a book review, your name will be entered into a draw for a Scholastic book, value of up to $20.

If you are interested in still purchasing a yearbook from last school year we still have a few copies available to purchase. Please see Mrs. Robinson in the main office and the price is $40.00.

 

senior girls soccer

The second tryout for senior girls soccer is this Thursday April 5th at 7am in the big gym. See Mrs. Armstrong with any questions.

CIBC

A CIBC bank card has been turned into the office. If you have lost your bank card please check at the office.

Jr Boys soccer

Jr Boys soccer, next practice thursday after school. Make sure you join mr Klassen’s google classroom and see him ASAP at lunch to get the Jr boy’s soccer tryout forms signed.

OSAID

There’s an important OSAID meeting in 305 today at 11:35. Please be there if you are coming to the conference as we are signing up online today. Let Ms. Hayden know if you can’t make it to the meeting but are planning to attend the conference. Stay safe on those roads, Madill, during this unpredictable weather!  

LGBTQ+

Attention all LGBTQ+ students and allied friends, on April 26th there will be a Pride Workshop Day held in Stratford. This jam packed day of events will include, yoga, dance, guest speakers,crafts, meditation, workshops, music, performances, a fine dining dinner, and a dance. And it’s free! Anyone interested should see Mrs. Trick, Ms. Joseph, or sign up in the Guidance office today!

Mental Health Awareness Bike Ride

On Friday April 6 in the evening, there will be a Mental Health Awareness Bike Ride ending at the F.E. Madill track. One of the goals of the event is to provide an opportunity to write a personal letter to a lost loved one, and then place the letter in a small bonfire as a symbolic gesture. If you have a letter to send but can’t attend, there will be a drop box available in the office. Thank you, Mrs. McDade  

Math problem solving challenge

If you enjoy solving problems in a team environment, Mr. Bartman and Mrs. Guay are looking for 6 students in grades 9 – 12 to take part in a Math problem solving challenge on Monday April 16th. If you are interested in this fun yet competitive event please see Mr. Bartman or Mrs. Guay by Friday of this week.
