Junior Girls Basketball

The junior girls basketball team traveled to St Mikes to avenge a regular season loss. The game was intensive from tip off. Julia Beaven continued her strong play, by attacking the net in the first half. Things heated up in the second half, and after some excessive contact everyone got to see McKenna’s angry face, a sight that will haunt Mr. Hallman for the rest of his days. After a deep breath, a made free throw by McKenna Bross tied the game late in the 4th quarter. The girls perfectly executed an inbounds play with 19 seconds left, resulting in a basket by Jaime Newell that sealed the win for Madill. The entire team played hard and were able to appropriately match the physical play of St Mikes. The girls advance to the Huron Perth Finals on Friday at Stratford Northwestern. Good luck girls.
