#Madilltalks.. Mental health and physical activity
Mental health is about more than mental illness. It’s more than being happy all the time. It’s about feeling good about who you are, having balance in your life, and managing life’s highs and lows. Everyone deserves to feel well, whatever their mental health experience. And we all need a support system to lean on.Being active and taking care of your body will help you take care of your mental health. You’ve probably heard it before: Exercise will make you feel better. It will make you feel good. Well, it’s true. It can reduce stress, boost your energy and strengthen your immune system. Exercise doesn’t have to be work, and it doesn’t have to be hard. Maybe exercise is the wrong word for you so try going for a walk, taking the stairs, gardening, going for a bike ride and anything else you can think that will get you active.
Tomorrow is Green Day! Green is the colour for Mental Health Awareness Week this year so wear your green on Thursday!
Jr Band is after school today! See you there!
