Three members of the Madill Cross Country team traveled to Sudbury the first weekend in November to take part in the high school provincial championships. The conditions were not as nice as here, as at the start the first part of the race was snow and slush and the finish line was water and mud. Each of the races had more than 260 runners at the start. Our Mustangs persevered and each of them ran great races with awesome results. In the junior girls race, Bronwyn Garniss finished 82nd, Senior Girls race, Abigail Kraayenbrink finished in 5th, and in the senior boys race, Steven Schraa finished 35th. Well done Mustangs, and congratulations to all members of the team for their season accomplishments, commitment to attending practices and running the races, see you next September at the start of the next season.
