Do you love watching the Olympics? Are you staying up too late to watch all the action? The Games will be live-streamed in the Library Learning Commons during lunch hour. Come in and enjoy the 2018 Olympic Games from Pyeongchang, South Korea

Scholastic Book Orders

The February Scholastic Book order forms are available in the library learning commons this week. Orders and money are due by Tuesday February 20. Mrs. Guay can also order any of the Teen Reads books found on Scholastic.ca

Student Volunteer

A Student Volunteer is needed to meet a Grade 1 student at the Maitland River Elementary School at 3:25 pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and to walk with the student to his home on Frances Street. A walk of about 15 to 20 minutes. And in the future, you might be needed on Monday and/or Wednesdays. If you are interested, please see more information on Guidance window under Community Involvement.

Senior Grads

Attention all Senior Grads – Edge Imaging will be here at F.E.Madill on Tuesday, February 27th to photograph any graduating students who have not had their grad photos done this year. If you missed or need to have a retake done this will be your last opportunity. You will need to sign up for an appointment online at bookmygrad.ca School Code: FEM and please return your proofs if it is a retake. Pamphlets are also available at the main office.

Milestone Photos

On Wednesday, February 28, 2018 Edge imaging will be here to take Milestone Photos. Don’t forget to take the flyer home for your parents to read. Edge Imaging Photographers are looking forward to seeing you on Wednesday, February 28th!

OSAID

Unfortunately, distracted and impaired driving is STILL an issue on all of our roads. Madill’ OSAID team is here to make people aware of the dangers of this problem and to help remind you all of the safer alternatives (like sleeping over, having a DD, or calling for a ride). OSAID’s first meeting of the semester will take place in room 305 at 11:35. New and returning members will be receiving a special gift!! And as usual, treats will be provided!

Drive Right Driving School

Drive Right Driving School will be offering a 4 day course during the March Break at Wingham Columbus Center, 99 Kerr Drive, Wingham, Ontario. On March 10, 11, 17 & 18 from 9:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Register online at www.driverightschool.ca Information is also available at the school office.

Nordic Ski

A HUGE congratulations needs to go out to the Jr Girls Nordic Ski team for their First Place finish at WOSSAA on Monday! Way to go Brooke Jez, Erica Murray, Charlotte Todd, Breelle Shaw, Leah Johnson and Ella Sawchuck. Good Luck at OFSAA in Sudbury next week. Joining them as individual qualifiers will be Brandon Murray, Symen VanderVlies, Brandon stein, Patrick leRoux, Ethan Sangster and Franklin Marshall! Please wish these athletes good luck as they will be representing Madill Next week against Ontario’s best. Happy Valentines Day everyone.
