Springwater Meet-Alymer-Thurs. Oct. 15

Madill runners competed at an invitational meet near Alymer last week on the same trails where WOSSAA will be hosted at the end of October. The runners gained valuable race experience, not just on the race courses, but in adjusting to extreme cool-weather racing conditions. A top ranking was earned by a Senior Girls, Julie-Anne Staehli, who clinched 15th place in her 5 km race. Dylan Sherwood ran the best race of the season shaving nearly 20 seconds per km from his race pace over his 6 km race. The runners now gear up for the Huron Perth championships to be held at the Morrison Dam Conservation Area in Exeter Thurs. Oct. 22.
