Senior Girls win 5 km race at Springwater Meet

Julie-Anne Staehli and Madeline Yungblut near front of pack in SG 5 km race
The Madill XC team competed at the Springwater Invitational near Alymer. The Senior Girls team of Julie-Anne Staehli, Madeline Yungblut, Brianna Bird, and Michele Studhalter (some Madill athletes absent from meet) rose to the challenge narrowly defeating rivals St Thomas Aquinas and Huron Park. Several runners on the team ran exceptional races lowering their times over the previous week’s results. The team is gearing up for Huron Perth on Thurs. Oct 20 at the Morrison Dam area in Exeter.
